Class cadence push ups

Then:

As Many Rounds As Possible  (AMRAP) in 20 Minutes of;

3 HSPU (handstand push ups)   6 Chins    12 Pistols   Shuttle Run

For those of you who have met Carson, and in case you did not hear, HE ROCKED in his fight Saturday night.  Aaron and Carson have been working very hard to get ready for the fight, but after watching Carson work, it is clear he has awesome skills.  Those guys/gals at Twin Wolves in Harker Heights know their stuff !

Talk about calm in the face of danger.  Carson was fighting a very good, experienced fighter and he made it look like this fighting thing is easy.  Allow the video to load before watching, as the Purefight website server is slow. (press play and then pause it and wait a few moments then play)

2. Good work today everybody. Everybody seemed to be really concentrating on form and pushing themselves in this mornings AMRAP. I hope everybody has been eating correctly these last few weeks because the pictures are tonite and tomorrow dudes! Hopefully this has helped people make a lifestyle change as well see as how a lot of data shows that a lot of cancers are directly related to diet and exercise. Especially colon and breast cancer. Thats something to think about when you want to veg out in front of the TV with a bag of ruffles. I personally would be ok with never having another cookie ever if it would keep me from colon cancer. On top of that if we eat well most of the time then when holidays like Christmas or St. Patricks day come around you can throw down and party and it not be that detrimental to you. Anyways this longer blog post is all because they moved my 8 o clock class here at school and I can't find it. Its not where they said it was going to be. Thus giving me lots of time to sit here and post. I even have time to post what I have eaten so far
Pre-workout-12 almonds, blackberies, 3 peices of hormel natural roast beef, cytosport fast twitch
Post work out- VPX Stealth protein shake mixed with black berries and POM juice.
Here in a bit-2 BBQ'ed chicken legs, mashed cauliflower, tomatos, my trail mix stuff
After that still not sure yet. Probably acorn squash and ground turkey, maybe eggs and mushrooms. The possibilities are endless. Peace

3. Those dead hang pull ups were a time killer after about round 3-4! Holy Cow! I think in addition to suffering from frequent WODers remorse (a little bit today by the way), I think I may also be suffering a bit from CBD - or CrossFit BiPolar Disorder - Friday WOD - I'm up, Saturday runs - feeling the shift, Monday WOD I'm down, Tuesday WOD I'm back up again! Think we could get funding for a research study?!? A good grant might support my CrossFit addiction! See ya'll in the morning!

4. Rich, you made a great point today about focusing on the basics (push-ups, building strength for a pull-up), and building a foundation for mastering some of the more challenging skills. And when it comes to me always ripping me hands - well that says two things: 1. I don't have enough strength to do a strict real pullups consistently and at high reps, and 2. I'm hard-headed and somehow like pain? just kidding.

Anyway, here's what freddy camacho says about torn hands and I think the two posts are worth reading. He ultimately says that we should focus on building strength for real pullups because a torn hand is an injury, not exactly something to be proud of. We all have our opinions, but I'm sticking with his and Rich's for today.
